Hello all,
or 'sup? to the two people who read my blog.
Has anyone ever given thought to the amount of energy we waste on Energy?
I mean, seriously! Why would a bunch of eco-activists, who are sooooo concerned for the future of the environment, fly thousands of miles to get together with other gloom and doom-ers to find out what? The earth is in jeopardy? A phone call, maybe? Or how 'bout some transcendental translocation communication through a harmonic convergence with Mother Earth? Doesn't work though. Who would get the long distance bill? Gaia apparently doesn't take "collect" calls. Oh! But I guarantee that Al Gore does "Collect calls." How much does he collect for a speech in Brussels or an appearance at the International Wildlife for Protection of the Global Environment on Hopey Changey Liberal Organizational Fund? There is only one "Global Environmental Crisis" we face. How many trees does it take to print all the money in the Environmental ________ Fund. (Pick your favorite group.) How much plastic does it take to create all the credit cards used for donations? The environment will take care of itself, and the ones who "defend" it will let all those goodhearted donors take care of them.

The preceding was a babbling rant from someone who has obviously either suffered mental collapse or a total lack of good r.e.m. sleep for the last 72 hours. All things considered, the mental collapse might be a better ailment. At least then he would be unaware of the pending doom we face through our new O-care insurance for all, Goldman Sachs debacle, Cap & Tax etc....

I was at work as I watched on the web, the live broadcast of the second plane hitting the tower. I walked outside later and looked up to an empty sky. All the air traffic that flew over my building was gone. The sky was an extremely bright blue. There were a few clouds and the deafening silence of an empty sky and a country in shock.

We will never forget. We will never grow tired. We will live the American dream in our hearts our minds and in all that we do. We will cast our anger into the flames of determination and fan it with the winds of justice.

Let our song of freedom be the last thing the terrorist hears as he falls. Let the last sight he sees be an American soldier with weapon in hand and the muzzle flash of the bullet that takes said terrorist's life.

And platitudes were spoken gospel truth
When worship turned from God unto the State
The souls of those that fell were soon to bleed

As freedom was encroached to serve the State
And all desires fell to fleeting hope
for change that comes through enforced servitude

When those who uttered truth were given scorn
And all who stood for Liberty blasphemed
Enlightened thought was deemed ineptitude

And when full circle came the tyrant's hand
Where armies lined the streets in massive force
And those of us who stood upon the brink

It's Mac The Knife

Who says politics aren't fun?
When you never know what to expect from one day to the next.
When a bailout can seem to be a money grab for bankers looking to remodel their offices.
When the President has to stoop so low as to decry the words of a talk show host.

Well, some things never change in DC. A Kennedy is still in the Senate. The news papers are still spewing Liberal drivel. And McCain is back to his RINO ways. Does he realize that it was just such behavior that killed his chances of winning the presidency?
He came up on the floor for his first speech, and this is what he had to say in reference to Hillary's Confirmation:

"I remind all my colleagues: We had an election," McCain noted.
"I think the message the American people are sending us now
is they want us to work together, and get to work."

Bull S#!t, (excuse my French.)

WE DO NOT WANT YOU WORKING TOGETHER WITH THE DEMOCRATS!!!!!
We want you to block them at every turn!
We want a filibuster for even the meanest of bills that make their way to the floor!

I am so freaking tired of the farce that is the Republican leadership. Throw all of these mealy mouthed, afraid of their shadow, waffling and shying from controversy "Republicans" out of office. Get some fresh young blood with intestinal fortitude to fight these socialists for every inch of ground they can take from them. If the conservatives in Congress would only show some backbone, the Dems would be the ones shying. They are afraid of the light, because the light is truth. They have spent their entire careers denying the light, and spit in the face of those who would show it to them.
And McCain is playing right into their hands. Why do you think the media loved him so much before the campaign. Because he goes against Republicans. He doesn't stand up for our tenets, our core of beliefs. He "compromises" and relinquishes the power to the Dems. Then he says he's doing it for the People. Nope. Not buying it. Wouldn't pay a dollar for that line. He does it for his own edification. He does it so he can say, "Look here. Look upon what I have done. I have brought you together and there is Harmony in the land." BS. Pure and unadulterated.

Entreaty to McCain:
Please. Please in the name of all that is Holy and True. Never compromise with these Dems again. Know that they are not your friends, they are not your buddies, and they DO NOT have your best interests at heart. They use you for their own gain, because for them, even if you compromise a little, you've lost. You do us no service by "compromising" with them. You do great harm to our country and we will all suffer in the end for it.

Commute? Why not just work form home?

Glorious day! We have finally seen the two border agents, Ramos and Compean, receive a commutation of their sentences. It has been a long time coming, and a struggle we in Houston have been privileged to help them overcome after two years.
Now, that being said, why the Hell did it take two years! We have just seen a travesty of justice perpetrated by the very man who was supposed to be a Compassionate Conservative. President Bush has never been a friend to those who want the border sealed. And his lapdog Johnny "Satan" ran right in and killed any chance of serious border enforcement.
Well, as we shall see, the O will serve us no better. Unless the states finally decide to ignore the Fed and seal the borders on their own, there will be an ever increasing Democratic base pouring across the southern border. And who knows how long it will take until all of us in the Red States begin to take on a tinge of blue.
I want to end this rant by saying, Congratulations to Ramos and Compean and their families.

Unilateral... Hmmm. Let me see... That means one-sided, right? OK, so if Israel stops fighting and Hamas doesn't... That means that Hamas won?
Really, I am sooooo sick of all those people out there protesting the Israelis right to defend themselves. And when they say that they have beaten Hamas severely, (you know, back to the Stone Age) it makes me cringe. How can you beat someone back to the Stone Age when they were already there?
I believe that you have not vanquished an enemy until every last one of them is dead or crying surrender. Where is the white flag?
I am making a personal request to the Israeli government. Please, I implore you, don't quit until you have achieved ultimate victory!!!! Make this your gift for the future of the Israeli people. And the world for that matter.
In the immortal words of Rondaldus Magnus, "My fellow Americans, I'm pleased to tell you today that I've signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes."
Let us hear those words from the Israeli Prime Minister. But let them be sincere.
Because without any Hamas militants... No rockets fired by Hamas militants (read Just Words for definition of militants.)

Look Ye Back In Fear, for We Shall See It Again

DEPRESSION, 1929, the stock market fell, industry tanked and we had 25% unemployment. As the depression wore on exacerbated by the policies of Hoover and the government, quietly the stock market began to rise. As the rest of the world came out of the depression quickly,(though how can you tell. It still looks like Europe's in a depression, ok , maybe not...) the US struggled on.
Hah. History lesson postponed for an important infomercial... Buy Stock Now! Buy Real Estate Now!
Why?
Because it's cheap! and you're not going to see deals this good for a loooong time.

Just when the economy is "tanking" and oil, real estate and the Dow Jones are in a major slump, everybody's talking about slowing down or saving their money. Anyone with an IRA or 401k needs to max that out now-- Put as much in as possible because it's only going to go up.
And just so you know.. you can actually roll your IRA into real estate---cool huh?
So, you have just put everything you own in the stock market and real estate. 10 years from now, the real estate has doubled. And if you had a couple of houses on those properties... and renters... you've just made off of 2 houses a profit of about $400 X 12 Months = $4800 x10 years = $48,000 for holding property. And that $150,000 house in Houston in 10 years went to $300,000.
California is in a better position. All of that property has depreciated majorly and is close to bottom, if not already there.
So all of this opportunity is out there... Waiting... Why R_U ?
Be Conservative, Be Bold, Be Positive, Opportunistic, Ruggedly Individualistic. Go out and Buy!
But don't take my word for it. Look up the stock market trends in the '30s. Look at real estate values for the past 50 years. Timidity gets you nothing. Those who seek out opportunity find it.

Stick This In Your Pipe and Smoke It

First the government in their infinite wisdom decided that analog TV was bad for America. You have to convert to Digital or you won't have a signal. Have you ever watched snow? Now all you have to do is go out and get yourself a sweet little converter box. But wait, it's not free. Still you can get that neat little coupon from the government. Yay! Oops. The box is still going to cost you about $20. OK. It's doable. If you have Twenty dollars to spend...

OR. You can go out and purchase yourself a brand spanking new, oh so shiny, fresh out of the box, still warm from the soldering, Flat screen, LCD or Plasma TV from your neighborhood Wal-Mart or Best Buy if you've got a credit card, because we're keeping the economy going, Right?

Ok, so now you have your brand spanking new, oh so shiny, ect. TV and find that your power bill is going up. Why? Because the new LCD takes about 43% more power to run. Ooh and that Plasma just cost you 75% more power! Oops, what can we do about that? I know! In comes government again to help us out of our quandary. California is debating whether to require energy standards on televisions just like the energy standards for other appliances in your home. Like your refrigerator or coffee maker. Thank God for government. If it weren't for them your power bill would likely go up twelve to eighteen dollars per year. Whew! And here I was thinking that the people could decide what to buy and what not to buy all on their own. Too bad for those people selling electronics. TV prices go up and the selection gets smaller. They could lose out on a lot of money and jobs in California. But who needs those jobs, the economy in California is fine. They've got a balanced budget and they don't need that tax revenue anyway. They're protecting the little guy. Right?

Did I mention that you will still be able to buy the TV's online from places like Amazon? So who wins in this? Ask your local government. They know what's best for you anyway.

I wonder why, when terrorists (read Hamas) give exact details of what they're going to do, no one listens. If anything, terrorists are bold and truthful when it comes to their plans. If they say they're going to bomb a city, they go out and do it. All the MSM needs to do is listen and the stories will write themselves.
They might even sell a few papers.
My "hope" is that with O, someone (read Hillary) will listen and try to get it through that thick skull of his. I just don't believe they think that this is serious business. They think we can "talk" to and "reason with" these people.
Hamas' position is simple. Kill all Jews and raze Israel to the ground. Simple, succinct and easy to understand. Why don't they get it? I am a firm believer in "there is good in everyone." But I don't walk through life with blinders on. I see these people for what they are... Fanatics.

The MSM and its allies in D.C. Have absolutely no concept of what we are in for. I only see the war escalating. Iran is going to flex it's muscle and wait to see if O will try to reason with him. This is not only a war between Hamas and Israel. It's a fight for the lives of everyone who is not a muslim extremist/fanatic. This is never going to get better until we see these people for who they are. Say who they are. Speak out against who they are. Light the fires under the chairs of the political machine in D.C. and demand they admit what we already know. And then harangue them until they do something about it. This is life or death. No going back. Innocence is lost. We live on fighting or we die with our heads in the sand.

Trojan Man... He's a malignant B@$tard

Well, it's been 11 days and I finally get to post again. The evil trojan man came a knocking and AVG let him in! After about 4 days of being unable to update my virus profiles and definitions, I realized that He had sneaked in. I found that I could not connect to any anti virus sites. Until I came upon "Windows Live One Care."
Wow, that's peculiar... The only site I can log into is a Microsoft site?!
Here's where my conspiracy radar goes off and the sirens are deafening. Why can I download an "anti virus" program from Microsoft but nowhere else? Hmm? Could there be a connection?
Well, I went ahead and downloaded it, ran it and lo and behold I can connect to the internet and any anti virus site I wish!
I loaded Norton 360 and ran it. Boom, 10 trojans found. Windows Live 1 care? No viruses/trojans found. Hmm, I thought again. Trojans deleted... windows live 1 care no longer works. uh oh. Well so much for that conspiracy theory.
Ok I still believe there is a link. Gates had me on his hit list and my computer was the victim. Just wait, your turn will come.
Ok back to the problem. I went to a site called bleepingcomputer.com. What a wonderful site. And it's free. I got my very own personal IT/Messianic computer guy. He walked me through the tormentuous ordeal of downloading 6 different programs, including Hijackthis, DrWeb-Cure It and Malwarebytes. A few short hours later... OK, 16 hours later my computer is back and I have escaped from Bill's clutches once again. Did I mention your turn would come?
All in all, I was Very impressed with the guys at bleepingcomputer.com. Go see them if Bill sets his sites on you.

Disclaimer: Bill Gates is a benevolent man who wishes no harm to any persons or animals of any race, religion or sex. He does not have a super computer with access to all windoze machines which he does not use to send trojans through backdoors that are not sublimated into his OS. Wait, is that too many negatives?Anyway, the references to Gates are speculation and humor devised to add a bit of lightheartedness to my travails over the last eleven days.

Last night I had a wonderful conversation on Twitter with greenbacker about the "Separation of Church and State". We both had some valid points, and it was extremely entertaining. I actually gained 20 followers during the conversation.

Here is the debate in case any of you wanted to refer back to it.

@greenbacker according to the constitution, there is no terminology "sep of church and state" it's freedom of religion, not from religion

They Win by Marketing. We Win By Smarter Marketing

Creative Wisdom wrote an article entitled Obama and the Power of Branding - The Big O in which she outlined her fascination with the marketing of O. Unfortunately, she has a point. His marketing team didn't run him for president. They sold him as a brand. We must in turn brand our own movement. But not the way it has been branded in the past. For too long we have let our brand be sullied by the MSM and pathetic examples of "Conservatives."
If McCain is our best, we will never get back the White House, much less Congress. Our campaign must have a thorough scrubbing and a fresh coat of paint. It needs younger and more adept speakers who can push our message with passion and vitality. We need a true believer who can withstand the scrutiny and hatred from the MSM.
While Tweeting, jimmiekersh was discussing a "Conservative Manifesto." I agree. But as a simple document, it will have the effect of any other document. Read once, put down, forgotten. With his desire to viral it on the web, it is possible that we could keep it alive for as long as someone is willing to keep pushing it.
This is where Marketing comes in. We must "Brand" ourselves. I have been in the Ad/Print industry for 14 years. There is no substitute for a logo, a slogan, and a quality product. And sometimes the product doesn't have to be quality. It just has to be believable and something everyone wants (ie. Hope & Change). The way we win is bring out the quality product. Rush says that Conservative values win hands down every time they're tried. I hate to say it but I think that's only partially true. Look at Blue States and tell me that they work every time. I have to believe that someone in those states is running as a true Conservative. Why don't they win?
Marketing.
With the proper marketing tools you could get a homeless guy to buy a garage door opener. He doesn't need it. But the guy who sold it to him made him think he wanted it. I'm not saying we push people to want what they don't need. I'm saying that with the right salesman, people will often change their minds about preconceived notions or even heartfelt beliefs. We aren't selling a bill of goods. We are selling freedom and individual liberty. Why haven't we been able to sell it for the past sixteen years? Oh wait, I know, our "salesman" doesn't always believe in the product.
And the ads (MSM) put out never display our product in a desireable light.
With the number of outlets outside the MSM, we could push this manifesto (I hate using this word, too many negative connotations for me) on all fronts. Video (YouTube, etc.)
Print (WSJ, Wash Times- as long as they're solvent)
Radio (We own it!)
Internet (Twitter, all other community sites, and blanket emails)
All we need is the right message and the right person to deliver it.

Good question.

I got involved with Twitter through my wife and I have seen no signs of the right anywhere. Although there is every possibility I have not run across any, I think the way Twitter is set up goes against the conservative mindset.
Consider this. When you are used to everything being handed to you, and everything has to be immediate, you simply "flock" to where that instant gratification can be met. Hence, the limited words mean less time to wait for that next fix. Don't get me wrong. As a business tool, it is superb for throwing out ideas, getting instant feedback and turning a product/service people want or need with a more reliable expectation of outcome.

Now, getting back to my original point, the conservative mind is alright with delayed gratification. We believe patience is a virtue and practice it stolidly while the left simply can't wait for the next messiah to darken their doorway. Also, the right believes that with patience comes true gratification. A bottle of wine, aged steak, many good things take time, and sometimes it takes more than 140 to say what needs to be said.

If I have offended, good. Take it personally. Toughen up that thin skin and think about why it offends. I bet it will take more that 140 to get something cohesive and coherent out of you.

To all of the conservatives on twitter, I want the three of you to DM me so I can follow and vice versa. :P

Yeah, the global warming crowd is making noise. I hear weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Snow is a four letter word and must be banned from the lexicon. How can we complain about impending doom when it's snowing in Houston?
I know! Climate change. Awesome idea. Now no matter the weather, we can still claim the world is ending. Three cheers for the machine of change. Who knew O meant that we would change the crisis to suit ourselves.

Now who is it?
When we begin to listen to what is being said and process it through an understanding of what is true, then we begin to realize that the nature of our political system is not only predictable, but outright dangerous.
Of course I could bore you with dissertations of the fear and loathing that is the mantra of the right in reference to O. But he's just a man. He can't heal the sick or make the blind to see. He is after what all in Washington are after... Power. Unadulterated and unlimited.
Have no fear, the truth will out and the party will end. Hopefully in 2 years.
The real reason I write is that I want all of us to see clearly. Not only what is in front of us but what is behind. Digitally mastered on a bright shiny disc that is calling to us from the past...
